Outfit of the Day

Here it is, my very first outfit of the day post. I'm warning you, I do not look like a model! I'm a plus-size girl and this dress makes me look even bigger, but I still kind of like it, so I decided to put the photos up anyways. The outfit, as you can see, is really simple and summery. I'm wearing a cardigan over the maxi dress and a braid in my hair. I decided to ditch the accessories this time. However, if I decided not to wear a cardigan, I would totally add some wooden bangles. By the way, all the things I'm wearing are from H&M.

Fall/Winter 2011 Fashion Trends PART 1

I can't believe that fall is already on its way, because it just started to feel like summer in my country.We've had the weirdest weather this year. There were really high tempratures in May, but an acutal summer was quite disappointing. We had tons of rain combined with late fall temperatures, and now, when the temperatures would suppose to fall down, we have around 35°C every single day. It's weird. All the shops are already full of fall fashion while we have the highest temperatures ever. Anyway, some of you are probably already going back to school and are ready for some fall clothes shopping, so I think that now is the appropriate time to finally share the fall/winter 2011 fashion trends with you!

Italy Haul

I know it's been a couple of weeks since I came back from Italy but I still haven't posted the promised haul. So, here it is! :)

The first store I went to was KIKO. I've never heard of this brand before but the store looked super nice and  I expected the products to be quite expensive, like MAC for example. I was wrong. All the products were quite affordable - not dirt cheap, but reasonably priced. The store had a whole wall of nail polishes and you could swatch every single product. I went for this unique shade of blue nail polish (3,5 €) and two lipsticks  in 409 and 410 (7€ each). I haven't tried the nail polish yet, but the lipsticks are amazing! They're very moisturizing and sheer (in a good way). I have to put them in a fridge, though, because they melted a little bit, it's very hot here right now... 

Next store I went to was OVS industry. I've never heard about it either. I didn't really like the clothes there except for the faux leather jacket, which was sadly too pricey and too small for me. However, I fell in love with this bag (20 €). I think it was the colour that caught my attention. I also bought the Eiffel tower earrings (6 €) and a bow ring (8 €) there, but the ring broke before I even had a chance to wear it. :(

This for me was the most exciting part. I was finally able to go to Sephora! We don't have it in my country, so I almost cried tears of joy when I stepped inside the store. Ok, I'm over-reacting a little bit, but still... And what was the best part? They had the naked palette (40 €)! I was almost 100% sure that I won't be able to get it because it's sold out everywhere, but I guess it was my lucky day. And it came with the primer potion too. The joy!

My next splurge was this Guess bag. I have a bag obsession as you may know, and I couldn't leave this one behind at the store. You see, she would feel very lonely. Oh, and it has a bow - another obsession of mine. Originally, it was about 140 €, but it was discounted at the time, so I got it for 72 €. Good deal, huh?

The last store I went to was an italian department store called COIN. I was looking for it because they sell MAC products there (also non-existent in my country), but I didn't buy any MAC products in the end. I was kind of overwhelmed by all the products and felt very annoyed that they didn't have the names displayed. I had a few names of the products I wanted to check out in my mind, but I couldn't find them, because I would have to turn all the testers upside down and I didn't have time for that. Oh, and the testers had full of dust on them, yuck! I didn't come out of COIN empty-handed, though. I bought a really cute bracelet for 10€ and an essence mini palette in long beach for 4 €.

Nail of the Day: For Audrey

This is probably one of the most known China Glaze's nail polishes. Its colour is very similar to the colour of Tiffany's famous boxes - gorgeous shade of turquoise. The consistancy of this nail polish is absolutely amazing. It's opaque, it doesn't streak and it doesn't chip very easily. I don't know on which day I took this photo, but I remember that it lasted for at least 5 days. Do any of you own this nail polish?

Strawberry Milkshake

This is what I made a few days ago to help me cope with 30°C. I mixed together 2dl of milk, a cup of strawberries, one teaspoon of sugar and some vanilla-strawberry ice-cream. It was really delicious and refreshing! :)

I was recently tagged by Madeline to do this tag, so here we go! I already answered some of these questions in my recent sunshine award post, but I'm going to answer them again anyway.


1. Do you have a middle name?

No, it's not really common to have a middle name in my country, so most people around here don't have it. I would love to have it though! 

2. What is/was your favourite subject in school?

My absolute favourite was English, but I also loved geography.

3. What's your favourite drink?

I drink mostly water but I also love strawberry and banana juice.

4. Favourite songs at the moment?

I'm really not good with these type of questions. I can never decide! But if I have to pick one that I listen to the most at the moment, it will probably have to be Last Friday Night by Katy Perry. I just think it's a great summer song. 

5. What would you name your children?

I have no idea. I'm 19 and I don't think about these kind of stuff! :D

6. Do you participate in any sports?

Nope, I'm pretty much a couch potato since I stopped training hip-hop. I'm working on it though! :P

7. Favourite Book?

I don't know. I've read many books but I haven't found THE ONE yet, haha. 

8. Favourite Colour?

At the moment, pastel turquoise.

9. Favourite Animal?

My dog Benji, koalas, wallabies, dolphins. 

10. Favourite Perfume?

I used to be obsessed with Kate Moss, but I've just run out of it, so I'm looking for my new favourite smell. My next buy is probably gonna be either Cheap & Chic Light Clouds by Moschino, Beyonce's Heat or L'Imperatrice 3 by D&G. 

11. Favourite Holiday?

Christmas if we're talking about the general holidays and summer if we're talking about school holidays. I hope this makes sense... 

12. Have you graduated High School?

Yes, last year.

13. Have you been out of the country?

Yes, many times and I hope this will continue in the future or I'll go crazy. 

14. Do you speak any other Languages?

My first language is Slovene, I'm also fluent in English, and I have an OK knowledge of Spanish and German. I also used to study French, but I can only remember some basic words and structures now, oopsie!

15. Do you have any siblings?

Yes, I have a younger, 13-year-old sister, who's just going through her puberty. Help me!

16. What's your favourite store?
Well, I usually go to H&M for clothes and Müller for make-up, but I'm in love with Topshop, River Island, Sephora and Forever 21. I just wish we had them in my country and that I would be a couple of sizes smaller... 

17. Favourite Restaurant?

I honestly don't have one. I used to love our local chinese restaurant but the owners changed and the food does not taste good anymore. Ohh, I just remembered, I have one! It's a pizzeria called Čebelica, where they serve the most delicious pizzas ever, but it's a 30-minute drive away from my home, so I go there only once or twice a year. 

18. Do you like school?

I don't hate it, but because of my crazy schedule, I don't have enough time to do other things that I like and this drives me crazy. 

19. Favourite Youtubers?

Oh my, I watch so many of them, but my top favourites are probably amarixe, essiebutton and missglamorazzi.

20. Favourite Movie?

Here we go again, I really can't choose! The Blind Side, The Devil Wears Prada, MammaMia!, My Life in Ruins, The Terminal, The Pursuit of Happyness, The King's Speech, Slumdog Millionaire, Marley & Me...

21. Favourite TV show?

Picking my favourite TV show is even worse than picking my favourite movie. Right now, I really like Vampire Diaries, Desperate Housewives, Pretty Little Liars, How I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl, 90210...

22. PC or MAC?

I've never had MAC so I have to say PC, for now. 

23. What phone do you have?

Sony Ericsson XPERIA. The next one is gonna be an iPhone for sure.
