MINT JULIPS LIP SCRUB BY LUSH

As soon as the colder months arrive, I start having problems with my lips. They become really dry and flaky, and only the scrub can help me. I've been using the Mint Julips one from Lush for quite some time now. What I love about it is that it does its job, it exfoliates your lips and makes them really soft. Apart from that, it also smells and tastes great (not that I eat it, eating my dead skin cells sounds quite disgusting to me).

Ingredients: Castor sugar, organic jojoba oil, vanilla extract, tagetes oil, peppermint oil, limonene, flavour

Price: 7,40 € for 25g
It is quite pricey, but a little goes a long way. However, considering the price, I don't know if I'll repurchase it. I'll try to make my own scrub and see how it works. If it doesn't turn out ok, I can still go back to this Mint Julips one.

IRON MERMAIDEN NAIL POLISH BY CATRICE
The photo on the left is mine (taken with flash) and the right photo is taken from the web (it shows the accurate colour)

This is definitely my most worn nail polish this month. It's quite difficult to capture the colour of it on the photo, but I guess this always happens when it comes to holographic nail polishes. I would say that the most predominant colour is metallic pink/purple with a hint of silver, but when the light catches it, you can also see some green/blue. I'm not gonna lie, the colour is sadly the one thing I like about this nail polish as it chips very easily (after 2 days) and goes on pretty sheer.

Price: 2,5 € for 10ml

PIVOINE FLORA INCREDIBLE LIP SHINE BY L'OCCITANE

I've had this lip gloss for about 6 months already, but I only started to use it a few weeks ago. It looks like a normal sheer gloss, but it actually works to enhance the natural colour of your lips with a soft natural sheen. The lip gloss turns pink when applied, and the colour of your lips becomes ''your lips but better'' if you know what I mean. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the packaging itself. At first, the lip gloss was coming out of the tube like no joke, you couldn't stop it and it all turned into a sticky mess. It's fine now when the tube is no longer full, though. Ohh, and the stickiness? I would describe it as medium.

Price: 12,50€ for 10ml
I can't really comment on the price. It's from L'Occitane and all their products are really expensive. I just wish the packaging would be better for this price...

Tell Me About Yourself Award

Yay, another award! Thank you Vicki, I really appreciate it. :)

Here are the rules:

* Thank and link back to the person who awarded you
* Write 7 random things about yourself
* Spread the love to 15 other bloggers

7 random things about myself
When I grow up, I wanna be Rachel Zoe. Well, not exactly like her, but you know what I mean. :D

I secretly stay up late (2-4 am) just to watch red carpets before the big award shows live.

Last week, I burned my ear with a hair curler.

When I was little, my parents tricked me into eating frog legs. They told me it was chicken!

My hearing on the right side is permanently damaged due to an ear infection I got when I was about 4. I don't notice it unless I cover my other ear and can hear the difference.

I once went through the whole season of Desperate Housewives in two days.

I'm currently watching 3 different X Factors (US, UK & AU).

Get the Look (for Less): Elena from Vampire Diaries

My recent 'Get the Look (for Less)' posts have featured very girly and chic styles, so I decided to do something different this time. I chose Elena (Nina Dobrev) from Vampire Diaries, one of my favorite TV shows. Her style is very simple and casual, consisting of basic clothing items.

Her staple pieces are:
o jeans
o deep, dark colored shirts or tops
o leather jackets
o converse shoes
o a locket necklace

Avon's Supercurlacious Mascara Review

Avon's Supercurlacious Mascara was definitely my go to mascara this summer. What I love about it is that it gives you very natural look, it curles your lashes, adds them some length, it doesn't smudge and there are NO clumps. I also have to mention that it has a dry formula, so you don't have to worry about accidentally getting it all over your lid or under your bottom lashes, which I find really annoying with the ''wet'' mascaras. The only thing some people might not like is that it doesn't give much volume to you lashes. But then again, this is not a volumizing mascara so if you want one, I recommend you to buy some other one.

The brush is curved and really helps you open up your eyes. Because of the shape and all those bristles, it also reaches all of your small and corner lashes, and seperates them really nicely.

Here you can see how my lashes look after applying one coat of mascara. When I'm using this mascara, I usually do only one coat because I want my lashes to look as natural as possible, but you can definitely build it up. When applying more coats, it curls up and lengthens your lashes even more, but it doesn't clump them like most other mascaras would do.

Here are the final before and after photos with one coat of mascara. I used an eyelash curler before applying the mascara on the left eye, but not on the right one.

Current price in my coutry: 8,50 € for 7ml
