New Year's Resolutions

Compared with the year 2010, 2011 hasn't been the most amazing year of my life. I had way too much school assignments and studying to do; I got betrayed by some of my ''very good friends''; I didn't travel much; I once again gained weight; I spent too much money; and so on and so forth. Of course there have also been some highlights like completing my first year of uni and writing this blog, but I'm a pessimistic person, so I always see the bad things first, sorry.

Anyways, I'm determined to make the year 2012 better, and even though I always break my new years' resolutions on the very first day, I'll try to make an exception and stick to them this time.

Here is what I want to do this year:

  • LOSE AT LEAST 15 KG - This is my biggest resolution and to stick with it, I decided to document the process on my blog at the end of every month.
  • START DRIVING A CAR - I've had my license for more than a year now, but I rarely drive a car. I don't know why, but I'm so freaked out about it. I really need to shake off my fear and just start doing it more often.
  • LEARN HOW TO COOK - I've already started this challenge last week, but there are a lot more dishes that I want to learn how to do. I'm turning 20 in two weeks, so it's about time I start doing this.
  • COMPLETE MY SECOND YEAR OF UNIVERSITY - In order to achieve that, I need to start studying regularly and stop procrastinating. A bit of luck and less worrying when writing exams also wouldn't be bad...
  •  LEARN SPANISH - I've been taking some Spanish classes last year, and I'm taking the second part of them this year, so I hope I will be able to add Spanish on my 'languages I speak' list by the end of this year.
  • GAIN SOME PHOTOGRAPHY SKILLS - I've always loved photography, but I've never taken any classes to learn more about it. I'm not sure if I'll be able to take any classes this year, but I want to at least read some books about it and start practising. I'm already experimenting with a white background for my blog photos, have you noticed? :D
  • SAVE MONEY FOR TRAVELING - I really want to go to the USA in 2013, so I need to start saving up money, stop my compulsive shopping, and get a summer job (I'm not sure if this will be possible, though. The economic conditions are pretty bad in my country right now).

What are your resolutions for the new year?
