15 Weird Facts Tag
I haven't actually been tagged to do this post, but the questionaire looks fun, so I decided to do it anyway. Here we go!
What's a nickname only your family calls you?
What's a nickname only your family calls you?
I actually don't have a nickname. My family and friends have always called me just by my real name - Sandra.
What's a weird habit of yours?
Hmmm, I really don't know how to explain this. You'll probably think I'm crazy, but sometimes, when I read a random word or a sentence, I ''pair'' letters with one another (some are worth 1 point and some 2 points), and if the word/sentence has an odd number of points, I have to read it once again, and pair both words together so that the sum of points is even. I'm sure this doesn't even make sense, haha. I told you, I'm crazy. Luckily, I only do this in my mind, not out loud. :D
Do you have any weird phobias?
No, I don't have any weird ones, just the common ones. I'm afraid of insects, spiders, snakes, the dark sea and height (But only if I'm climbing or standing somewhere I don't feel safe. I'm completely fine with planes and tall buildings. In fact, I love them).
What's a song you secretly love to blast and belt out when you're alone?
I don't think I have any ''secret'' songs I like to listen to. I really don't care if people disagree with my taste in music...
What's one of your biggest pet peeves?
Flaky people. I hate it when I make plans with people and they cancel right before we should meet.
What's one of your nervous habits?
Picking my nails or biting my lip. First, these used to be my nervous habits, but I now do them all the time, even when I'm alone. Yikes!
What side of the bed do you sleep on?
I usually sleep diagonally - upper body on one side of the bed and lower body on the other side. If you believe me or not, I even managed to fall asleep with my legs up by the wall a couple of times. As mentioned before, yes, I'm a little bit weird. But I swear I'm completely normal otherwise. :D
What was your first stuffed animal and its name?
I have no idea what was my first one, but the oldest one I can remember of is a dog named Pongo (from 101 Dalmatians). It looks like this (I found this photo online):
What's the drink you always order at Starbucks?
We don't have Starbucks...
What's the beauty rule you preach, but never actually practice?
I never preach something I don't practice. Having said that, I do sometimes forget to use a heat protectant spray, oopsie. :)
Which way do you face in the shower?
Huh? I don't know. We have shower handles so I can face whatever way I feel like at that moment.
Do you have any weird body skills?
I wouldn't say so. I can move my neck without moving the rest of my body (head excluded) if that counts as a weird body skill. Not many people I know can do this...
What's your favorite comfort food thats 'bad', but you love to eat it anyways?
All that has carbs (fast food, pasta, cake, etc.).
What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?
'Oh my god'. I should really try to say it less often. :D
Time to sleep - what are you actually wearing?
Pajamas in winter and an oversized T-shirt and pajama shorts in summer.

Nail of the Day: Kiko's 337 Periwinkle Violet
First of all, I am so angry I haven't bought more Kiko nail polishes when I was in Italy. They had them in every shade you can imagine and if I knew they are so good, I would buy tons of them.
The color of this one is gorgeous (the photo really doesn't do it justice - it looks darker and more creamy in real life), the application is great, and it stays on for quite some time even without a top coat. The photo is taken on day three and you can see that the chipping is really minimal. Do any of you also own and love Kiko nail polishes?

Get the Look (for Less): Aria from Pretty Little Liars
I haven't done a 'Get the Look (for Less)' post in quite a while, but you'll definitely see more of them. Today I decided to feature Aria Montgomery, a character from one of my favorite shows called Pretty Little Liars. If you're not watching it already, you really need to check it out.
Aria has a very unique style that's really hard to describe. I would say it's a mixture of boho, vintage, girly and edgy. She wears a lot of layers, mixes different patterns, and goes for darker colours like black, brown, gray, plum and burgundy.

Nail of the Day: Wagon Trail by China Glaze
I got this nail polish for Christmas, and I'm really loving it right now. It goes three days without chiping and you only need one coat of it. As you can see, the colour is quite strange (in a good way); I would describe it as dark muddy bronze with a hint of green.

The Forgotten Scarf
I totally forgot to include one of my purchases in the 'New Stuff' post. I've been wanting this scarf since I first saw it, but my friend talked me out of buying it, because it was a little bit pricey for a scarf. A couple of months later, I still regretted not buying it, so when I went back to the store a couple of weeks ago and saw that they still have one, I just had to get it. Ohh, and it was also 30% off! Win! Isn't it pretty? I like how it has all these different patterns. Btw, it's from Dorothy Perkins.

I started to watch this show in the summer and I finally got through all the episodes a week ago. I pretty much spent my Christmas holidays curled up in my bed watching How I Met Your Mother for hours. Call me crazy, but I went through the whole last two seasons in about two weeks! There's nothing better than TV show marathons. Who's with me on that? :P
NOOK
I've had this baby for over a year now and it has definitely been my saviour in the past few months. Why? Well, for one thing, I don't have to carry all those ridiculously heavy 1000-page books I have to read with me. AND I don't have to worry about returning the books to the library on the right time. Love this thing!
M-CUPS
Measuring cups. Totally random, I know. But how can you not love these? Aren't they the cutest measuring cups you have ever seen?! I've been recently getting into the whole cooking thing, and because most recipes I found had the cup measuring system, I decided to get these from Ebay. All thanks go to FleurDeForce, who showed them in one of her videos. You can get them here or here.
TEMPLE RUN
I've never though that I would become obsessed with an iPad game. I totally blame my sister for it, as she was the one who showed it to me. The game is nothing special, you just have to slide your fingers up and down and left and right to get the game character to jump and things like that, but it's so addictive! Try it if you dare! You can also have it on an iPhone as you can see.
