My New Spring Obsessions

The first new obsession of mine is Avon's nail polish in 'Apricot Mystery'. I cannot stress enough how much I love this nail polish. The color is perfect for spring, and it stays on without chipping for almost a week! To spice it up, I added some China Glaze's 'Tinsel Town' on my ring finger. This is more of a Christmas shade, but I think they complement each other perfectly. You can get the Apricot Mystery here and the Tinsel Town here

My other spring obsession is this lipstick. It's from Avon as well, and it has the same name as the previously mentioned nail polish - 'Apricot Mystery'. It has a pretty creamy consistency, but I noticed that your lips have to be really smooth before applying it. Otherwise, it can look quite flaky. The lipstick is avaliable here

Current Random Love: Draw Something

Just when I finally cured myself from a Temple Run addiction, people started to talk about Draw Something. Being the extremely curious person that I am, I just HAD to go check out what all the hype is about. I'm not sure if this was the right choice, though, because I now have another addiction. You probably all know about this app by now, but if you don't, you can check it out here

P.S. If you also play this game, you can totally add me! My username is SBeauty101.

Save or Splurge

I've been seeing this House of Harlow 1960 Leather Station Necklace everywhere. I have a feeling that all celebrities own one! This does not surprise me at all, because I think it looks amazing! I do have to admit that I've been thinking about buying a real one - that's how much I like it - but I'm trying to save up some money for Dubai right now, so I talked myself out of it. Having said that, I did find an amazing dupe, and it is only a matter of time before I click on the 'buy' button. You can get the original one here on Nordstrom's site, and the dupe here

Pina Colada Smoothie

I made this on Saturday and I really didn't expect it to turn out as yummy as it did. You literally need just 5 minutes and a few ingredients to do it.

WHAT YOU NEED (for 3-4 servings):
o 2 cups of pineapple
o 2 cups of coconut milk
o 2 bananas
o 1/2 cup of ice cubes
o 4 tablespoons of honey

HOW TO DO IT:
Just slice up the pineapple and the bananas; throw everything in a blender; and mix it until you get a drink-like texture. Now pour it into glasses and garnish them with slices of pineapple. Cheers!

Doughless Pizza Recipe

I've promised you to post the doughless pizza recipe probably more than a month ago, but I totally forgot about it. I'm so sorry! Also, I forgot to take a photo of it, so I'll just show you a random one I found on the Internet. It looked pretty much the same, though.

WHAT YOU NEED for 4 persons
o 2 cups of cooked and riced cauliflower
o 2 eggs
o 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
o 2 table spoons of dried oregano
o 1 table spoon of crushed garlic
o 1 table spoon of garlic salt
o toppings of your choice

HOW TO DO IT
First, take a head of cauliflower, wash it, remove the stems and leaves, and chop the rest of it. Then put the chopped pieces into a food processor and mix them until they look like grains. Make sure you don't over do it. You don't want it to look like puree. After that, put the cauliflower into a microwave safe dish and microwave it for about 10 minutes.

Now you'll need a bigger bowl, in which you'll put 2 cups of microwaved cauliflowers, 2 beaten eggs, shredded mozzarella cheese, oregano, crushed garlic and salt. Mix all of these things and preheat oven to 230°C. While you're waiting, put a tiny bit of oil on the cookie sheet (which is placed on the baking dish) and then spread the ''dough'' evenly on the oiled sheet. Bake it for 15 minutes. The dough is supposed to be soft, so don't worry about whether or not it is baked enough. It is. You won't need knives to eat it...

When the dough is baked, put on the toppings of your choice (I added some tomato sauce, peas, grilled zucchini, corn, mushrooms, cheese... - the vegetables need to be pre-cooked or from a can), and then put the thing back in the oven and bake for additional 3 minutes or so until the cheese is melted. Done!

Really easy, huh? And the best thing about it? One serving has only about 100 calories + it also tastes good! Trust me. I like my food to taste GOOD. I'm not some kind of a health junkie who lives off of those disgusting veggie juices - not that this is bad, I should probaby try it from time to time.

So, who of you will give this pizza a try?

Get the Look (for Less): Emily from Pretty Little Liars

Here I am with the last Pretty Little Liars Get the Look (for Less) post. I've already done posts on Hanna, Aria and Spencer, which means that Emily is the one I'm going to talk about today.

Her style is very sporty, simple and comfortable. She wears a lot of bright colors, and her staple pieces are very basic:
o jeans or denim minis/shorts
o hoodies/cardigans
o tank tops
o slouchy, off the shoulder tops
o simple jewelry (friendship bracelets etc.)
o sneakers
o utilitarian-inspired bags

These are my two outfit recommendations:

How do you like her style? And who of you can't wait for the final episode? I've heard that they'll tell us who A. is! So exciting! Do you have any suspects?

Weekly Snapshots #7

1. My mom's version of rice pudding. So delicious!

2. Mixed salad with chickpeas.

3. Sour cream salad dressing.

4. Blueberry yoghurt with fresh blueberries.

5. Car keys. A few days ago, it was the first time for me to drive a car without my dad by my side. I know this is weird because I've had my driving license for more than a year, but I'm actually terrified of driving - there are a lot of crazy people on our roads - so I really like to avoid this activity as often as possible. From time to time, my parents force me to go for a ride, but I've only done it if my dad has gone with me. You know, just in case. This Saturday, however, was a very special day, haha. My sister and I were too lazy to go to my aunt's birthday party on foot, so I decided to drive. And guess what?! I'm still alive! Obviously.

6. New Girl. My newest obsession.

Nail of the Day: Mermaid Tears

May I present to you my favorite spring nail polish! I got it just a few weeks ago and I instantly fell in love with it. Not only am I obsessed with its color, but also with its quality. I've had it on for 6 days, and it barely started to chip no earlier than on day 5! I can already tell that this one is going to be on my nails A LOT. What is your favorite spring nail polish?

ABC Travel Tag

I saw this tag on one of the blogs, and because traveling is a big passion of mine, I decided to do it too. I hope you'll enjoy it!

A: Age you went on your first international trip: I think my first international trip was to Tenerife when I was three years old. I would really like to go there again, because I don't remember much...

B: Best (foreign) beer you've had and whereI don't drink beer; I can't stand the taste of it.

C: Cuisine (favorite): My favorite would probably have to be Italian, because I eat it all the time, but I also love French, Greek and Chinese (as long as it's not spicy).

D: Destinations, favorite, least favorite and why: Up until now, my favorite destinations are Australia and London. I fell in love with Australia because of its magnificent nature, laid-back lifestyle and extremely friendly people, and London is just the place that will always be close to my heart. I love everything about it: the big city vibe, diversity, history and tradition, great shopping...
For my least favorite I have to pick Croatia. I just don't like their greediness and their negative attitude towards Slovenes. I'm not saying that all of them are like that, but I have a lot of negative experience (I 've spent about seven or eight summer holidays over there).

E: Event you experienced abroad that made you say “wow”: Celebrating NYE in Sydney was pretty amazing. It's definitely something I'll never forget.

F: Favorite mode of transportation: I LOVE airplanes (for longer destinations), and walking or subway for around the town.

G: Greatest feeling while traveling: The anticipation of arriving to your destination. And pretty much everything that follows until the departure - the departure is always depressing.

H: Hottest place you’ve traveled to: The Australian Outback. When we were at Uluru, it was 54°C! It was not as bad as it sounds, though. You just had to drink a lot of water.

I: Incredible service you’ve experienced and where: La Grotta Hotel in Verona is worth mentioning. I  honestly didn't expect much from it before coming there. I though it would be just like any other small Italian three-star motel, but the service was amazing! I would definitely give it at least four stars. Anyway, the hotel was very modern and clean, the breakfast was delicious and offered a lof of different dishes, the receptionist was really friendly and helpful, and you even got a free mini bar, which they stocked daily. They have a really nice website now so you can see how it looks. When I was booking it, they didn't have it yet.

J: Journey that took the longest: Journey to Australia. We were travelling for 2 days, we changed planes 4 times and spent exacly 22 hours up in the air.

K: Keepsake from your travels: Lots of photos, tipical touristy souvenirs and handbags. Yes, handbags. I manage to buy at least one from every place I go to. Just so you get the idea of how much of a handbag addict I am, I can tell you that I bought three in Australia, four in London, two in Italy...

L: Let-down sight, why and where: I really don't know. I don't remember being disappointed with a certain sight.

M: Moment when you fell in love with travel: I've had the travel bug since a very young age, but the key moment for me was probably the trip to London with my mother when I was 12.

N: Nicest hotel you’ve stayed in: I really liked the Novotel hotel in London. I think it was the Paddington one.

O: Obsession—what are you obsessed with taking pictures of while traveling?: I'm a pathological picture-taker. I take photos of absolutely everying. The only thing I don't photograph a lot is food, because I feel weird taking photos of it at the table when everyone around is watching. Well, I'm probably just imagining that everyone is watching me, but still...

P: Passport stamps, how many and from where?: I only have those from Australia, because we don't get stamps when we travel around Europe.

Q: Quirkiest attraction you've visited and where: I have no idea. Some torture museums or museums of modern art would probably classify for that.

S: Splurge; something you have no problem forking over money for while traveling: I'm not a saver type whilst traveling. I mean I'm not staying at five-star hotels and eating at really expensive restaurants, but I have no problem spending my money on sights' tickets and fashion/beauty products.

T: Touristy thing you've done: I'm quite a tipical tourist, so probably a lot of things. The only thing I usually don't like to do is travelling in groups with a tourist agency. I prefer organizing a trip myself so that I can see all the sights I want and then also explore an area, trying to find some amazing, not-that-known places.

U: Unforgettable travel memoryThere are so many! I can't pick only one.

V: Visas, how many and for where?: One for Australia.

W: Wine, best glass of wine while traveling and where?: I don't like wine. :)

X: eXcellent view and from where? This question is really hard. I don't know. Maybe a view of the Twelve Aplostoles from a helicopter? Or watching the sunset in front of Uluru? Or maybe even London from the Lonon Eye? I really can't pick only one.

Y: Years spent traveling?: If I started at the age 3 and am now 20 years old...17?

Z: Zealous sports fans and where?: Nooo, not the crazy sports fans! I saw some really intimidating football fans in Germany and in London.

This is it! I know this was quite a long post, so congrats if you made it until the end! :D

Ohh, and consider yourself tagged. I love reading about other people's travel experience, so if you do this tag, PLEASE send me the link. I'll check it out for sure.

Weekly Snapshots #6

1. No, I didn't get a new dog. This is Benji. With a lot less hair, obviously.  Doesn't he look like a cute little lamb? :D

2. Decided to go jogging with my sis. BIG FAIL! We stopped quickly after getting some weird looks from passers-by. People from my town are aparently not used to seeing a big girl working out...

3. Lunch/dinner at a Chinese restaurant. There was a whole lot of yummy vegetables hiding under the chicken! Is anyone else here a big fan of Chinese food?

4. The tulip I got for the International Women's Day.

5. Bye, bye my old passport. I am now waiting for a new one. Let's just say that my photo and my signature in it will look nothing close to acceptable - the photo looks like a mugshot and the signiture like I would have written it with my foot, not my hand.

6. Another disgusting looking but actually really yummy meal. Tomato + cauliflower with cheese.

7. On my way to casual Sunday lunch with my relatives.

8. My cousin with his ''new hair-style''. Love this photo!

Get the Look (for Less): Spencer from Pretty Little Liars

Pretty Little Liars season finale is coming up in a few days, so it seems like a perfect time to show you another 'Get the Look (for Less)' featuring one of the show's characters. You can see the previous posts on Hannah's style here and Aria's here.

Let's go back to Spencer now. I think her preppy-meets-vintage style is the easiest one to imitate. She wears a lot of neutral and earthtone colors, and her staple pieces are:
o blouses
o dark fitted jeans
o vintage dresses
o blazers
o cardigans
o oxfords
o riding boots
o brown handbags
o pearl earrings
o watches
o locket necklaces

Here are the two outfits I came up with...

Nail of the Day: Cotton Candy At Eiffel Tower

I've already shown you this nail polish in the last week's 'Mini Haul' post, but I haven't shown you how it looks on nails yet. As you can see, the color looks exactly the same as in the bottle - very pretty creamy, opaque nude. Application, on the other hand, is downright horrible. You need four coats to get it look like this, and because of so many coats, the polish just doesn't dry. I painted my nails two hours before I went to bed, and when I woke up, my nails were completely smudged. This is such a shame because I really love the color! Does anyone know any great nude nail polishes similar to this one?

4. Warm and sunny days, I've missed you! I'm glad you decided to show up last week.
5. Carrot soup with ''zlate kroglice'' (I have no idea how these things are called in English). P.S. Do you like my cute cow bowl? :D
6. Why haven't I discovered these mini biscuits with apricot cream filling before?! They're an amazing replacement for Sacher cake.
7. My mom's friend brought us huge bags of dried fruit. The apples are so good!

11 Questions Tag (Part 2)

This is the second part of my 11 Questions Tag. You can see the first part here

First, Holly's questions:

1. Cats or dogs? Definitely dogs. I've never been too fond of cats...

2. What is the one beauty thing that you couldn't live without? Nail polish. I cannot not wear it; I'm obsessed with it.

3. Favorite movie of all time? I can never decide what my favorite movie is. There are so many good ones! The Blind Side, Soul Surfer, The Pursuit of Happyness, The King's Speech, Slumdog Millionaire... I could go on for ages.

4. Favourite make-up brand? I have a feeling that MAC would be my favorite make-up brand if they sold their products in my country, but since' I've never tried any of their stuff, I have to say Chanel. I don't own many Chanel products because they're so freakin' expensive, but all their things I've tried so far are more than amazing.

5. What is at the top of your beauty wishlist right now? Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer, Revlon lip butters, Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadows, Collection 2000 Cream Puff Moisturizing lip creams, Clarisonic, some MAC lipsicks, and some nail polishes from Essie and Butter London. Quite a lot of stuff, huh? :D

6. What do you think is your best feature? If this is the question about physical appearance, I really don't know. I'm a very self-conscious person and I pretty much hate everything about myself, so this is not a good question for me...

7. Who are your top 3 favourite bloggers/youtubers? I have way too many favorite bloggers to even try to pick the top three, so I'll tell you my 3 4 favorite youtubers: amarixe, essiebutton, missglamorazzi and fleurdeforce.

8. What colour do you wear most often? Hmmm, I don't know. I used to wear a lot of dark colors, but now I pretty much wear all of them.

9. What shop do you buy most of your clothes from? H&M

10. Where is the one place you would love to go on holiday and why? This is the worst question you can ask me, haha. I want to go everywhere, but my top three destinations right now are New York City, Los Angeles and Bali.

11. What is your favorite thing about having a blog? Getting to know so many amazing people. I think of my followers as my friends, even though I've never met anyone in real life. I really hope I can meet some of you one day! :)

And here are the questions from Louise:

1. Do you have a signature scent? No, not right now, but in the past, my signature scents were Kate Moss' Kate Moss and Ulric de Varens' Mini Love. Having said that, I know I'll have a signature scent again when the summer comes. I can't wait to start wearing my Moschino's Light Clouds and Beyonce's Heat!

2. Where is your favourite holiday destination? If I have to choose from the places I've visited, I'll say Australia, London, Karpathos and Val Thorens. These places couldn't be more different from one another, but I love them all.

3. Have you ever done any vlogging? There were a few attempts, but let's face it, I'm not a camera person at all. :D

4. OPI or Nails Inc? I've never tried Nails Inc, so I have to say OPI.

5. Would you ever consider plastic surgery? Probably not. I'm terrified of everything that has to do with doctors, surgeries, blood, needles...

6. Do you prefer high street shopping or online shopping? I love online shoping, but it could always be a hit or miss. I haven't bought any clothes or shoes online yet because I don't want to risk getting a wrong size, but I do buy quite a lot of beauty products that are not avaliable in my country on ebay.

7. Who would you most like to be stranded on a desert island with? With someone who could keep me entertained. I wouldn't want to get bored, would I?! :D

8. Do you have any unusual piercings? Nope.

9. Leopard print or zebra print? None of them. I'm not fond of animal prints, because they tend to look tacky.

10. What is your must-have beauty product? Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation. You can read my review here.

11. Who would you say is your idol? I look up to Beyonce, Lauren Conrad, Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep, Adele, Rachel Zoe, and Louise Roe. I think they're great role models because they're all strong women who are great at what they're doing and have worked hard to reach their dreams, while staying ''humble'' and not going down the wrong path.

Well that was a lof of questions, huh?! I swear I'm going to stop with these kind of  posts for some time now. I have a feeling they're boring you...

I
