2013: A Year of Changes

Hey lovelies, I'm back! First of all, happy new year! I hope you had an amazing holiday and a great start to the new year. I certainly had. London was as amazing as always and I can't wait to go back. London aside, 2012 was just like any other year, full of ups and downs. It wasn't one of my favorite years, but it is now time for a new beginning and I'm determined to make 2013 the best year so far. 13 is my lucky number, so I hope it will help me out a bit. :)

TRY TO READ AT LEAST ONE BOOK A MONTH FOR PURE PLEASURE
Being a student of English, I have to read a lot of books for uni, but most of them are not exactly my cup of tea. Bleak House, I'm looking at you! I've started to notice that I don't enjoy reading books as much as I used to, so I decided to read at least one book of my choice every month. Any recommendations?
TRY TO WORK OUT AT LEAST THREE TIMES A WEEK
I know, I know. Losing weight is a resolution that everyone makes but never sticks to. I am guilty as charged as well. I always manage to find excuses, but it is time to put an end to this. I'm not planning to start any diets because I know I won't stick to them, but I will try to work out. My sister and I got a treadmill for our birthdays, so we better start using it!
TRY TO STOP CARING WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK OF ME
Where I live, people tend to be very judgmental, so I've always been afraid to 'stand out from the crowd'. I've always had a bit of obsession with make-up and fashion, but I've never been brave enough to actually wear some of the things that I love outside my house. I know this sounds a bit silly, but I am sure some of you will understand what I mean. Anyway, I decided not to care what other people think about me anymore, because they are stopping me from being me. If I want to wear a red lipstick and a silly hat, I will!
TRY TO BE MORE POSITIVE
I'm a pretty pessimistic person and always tend to see the negative side of things first, so this is definitely something I need to work on. I'm not quite sure how I'll go about it yet, but I'll start with the jar of happiness. The idea behind it is that you fill a jar with notes about good things that happen during the year or with random things that bring back good memories, and then empty it at the end of the year and see all the awesome stuff that have happened during the year. Will anyone else be doing this?
TRY OUT THE YOUTUBE THING
As some of you might already know, I'm obsessed with watching beauty youtube videos. I've been watching them regularly for about three years and have always wanted to try out the whole youtube thing myself, but I've always chickened out. However, a few of my good 'blog friends' have started doing it and encouraging me to start as well, so I decided to give it a go. I'm not sure if this will turn into a regular thing, but I might film a video or two from time to time. We'll see. I'll be filming the first one in a couple of days. It will be a London haul! Wish me luck! :D
