I wasn't really sure whether or not to publish this DIY kind of post, because it's super easy and not anything special at all, but I eventually decided to show you my Sunday project anyway. Maybe it will motivate at least one of you to give your 'pen area' a bit of a transformation. So, what have I been doing last Sunday afternoon? I've been transforming ugly empty tins and plastic jars into a-little-bit-cuter-looking pen holders. This is how one of my older pen holders looked like:
It obviously did its job, but it didn't look particularly pretty, so I grabbed some Washi Tape...
...and transformed it into this:
Much better, right? Just to let you know, I had to double up the tape, because it was a little too sheer to cover everything up. To prettify the rest of my pen holders, I used some other crafty bits. For the first one below, I used wallpaper - I have no idea where it came from, though, because we never had any wallpaper on our walls. The aliens must have brought it to me! - for the second one I used shiny ribbon, and for the third one some wrapping paper.
This is it! My very exciting DIY Sunday project, haha. I've told you not to expect much. I'll try to come up with something better next time. If you do want to see some exciting DIY posts in between, though, you can check out my 'Sandra's Weekly Web Likes' posts. I always feature a couple of great DIYs there. :)
P.S. My sister also had a Sunday Project. She started her own blog! How exciting?! Please go check it out and leave her a lovely comment or even go follow her if you like the blog. I'm sure it will be far more exciting than mine. She's the crazy one in our family, haha! You can check out her blog here.

How cool! This could even be a lipgloss or eye pencil holder. :D
ReplyDeleteTotally! I haven't even thought about that. What a great idea!
DeleteDrugi lonček je čudovit. Moram tudi sama probati. :)

ReplyDeleteHaha, sej jih nimam tok. :D
DeleteThese are adorable. :)
ReplyDeleteI love using washi tape for DIY projects! :) I think yours is really cute.
ReplyDeleteOooo kako se spomnim teh flumastrov, imeli smo jih v vrtcu :)
ReplyDeleteLepi lončki.

Luštno si jih uredila :) Razni DIY projekti so vedno fini ob nedeljah, ko malo počivaš pa imaš čas ustvarjat :)
ReplyDeleteOooo. I never thought about using Washi tape to do that. Doh! So.. thanks!

Very cute :) xx
ReplyDeleteO ful hudo.
ReplyDeleteWell kinda too simple as you mentioned but the result looks good!

Looks very nice and heading over to your sister's.
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas! Sometimes simple is best :) Love the patterns and it must've taken some patience and skill to get everything perfectly positioned and even!
ReplyDeleteVery cool idea! =)
:P Tako bi si okrasila košarico (škatlo) za make up :P
ReplyDeleteJaz sem ga dobila v Mladinski Knjigi. :)
DeleteSo simple, but very nice. I have to find some lovely tape and transform my holders also :)
