My Last 'Weekly Snapshots' Post

As you've probably already guessed from the title, this is my last 'Weekly Snapshots' post. I've been doing these posts for at least a year now and at first people seemed to enjoy them, but now that almost everyone has Instagram, I feel like this type of posts are starting to be considered redundant and boring. The idea behind these 'behind the scenes' photos and captions was to share what's going on in my life with you and to keep some sort of a diary for myself that I could look back to and see what was going on at a certain period in my life.

Lately, however, I haven't been taking much photos and the posts have turned into boring photo collages of my dog, selfies, food and things I've bought. So, I decided to freshen things up a little bit. I still want to have Sundays reserved for personal posts. I love making them for myself and my own memories, but I also love reading them on other people's blogs, as they give me an insight into a blogger's life and make me feel more connected to the blogger. However, I will be transforming the look and the content of the posts a little bit. From now on, all of my instagram photos will be reserved for twitter and facebook (maybe this will even help me use facebook more often), and as to what I'll feature on here... I haven't really made up my mind about it yet.

I was thinking about writing a few sentences about my week - a proper summary with highs and lows, not just uninteresting captions with horrible grammar I've picked up from twitter - and also include the list of things I've been doing or loving during that week. For example, I could share the highlight of my week, an interesting article I've read, let you know about my favourite song of the week, tell you about the new items I bought or received so that you would know what to expect on my blog in the future, etc. I'll also try to include some higher quality photos, because I really need to use my DSLR more often. I feel like I don't have any proper photos anymore ever since I started using my smart phone to take photos, which really is a shame. Especially because I enjoy photography and want to become better at it.

As I have said, I'm still brainstorming and trying to come up with ideas for the posts, so I would love to hear what you think about this whole thing. And also, if you have any suggestions as to what you would like to see me mention or talk about in this new Sunday installment, please don't be shy and share them with me! :)

My dog helping me out with editing videos. Or should I say distracting me? ♥ Selfie. ♥ Chicken curry that my mom makes every year around new year. The recipe was given to her by a lovely woman called Krishna that my mom used to stay at when she was working as an au pair in England back in the days. Her parents are Indian and this curry is the real deal. It tastes so good! Although, my mom doesn't throw in some of the spices, because I don't like spicy food, hehe. ♥ Benji being ridiculously adorable while sleeping. He always want to have a pillow! ♥ Deciding which bath bomb to use for my long overdue pamper evening. I went for Bluberry from Lush, but I'm not sure if that was the wisest decision. My bath turned purple and I had to scrub it for half an hour after I was done with the bath. ♥ Dowton Abbey Christmas Special. I was waiting for this episode for such a long time! I love this show! ♥ Another studio light - a Christmas present from my dad. ♥ Christmas presents from my mom and my sister. ♥ My new year's makeup. I was staying at home, quite depressed to be honest, but I still decided to wear fancy makeup, haha. I tried to do smokey eyes for the first time and I have to say, I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did! ♥ Kicking off 2014 with a healthy breakfast. ♥ A funny video still of Benji. His ears are floating in the wind, haha. ♥ Oh, hey there, another selfie.

  1. I HATE when lush products dye stuff! As much as I love lush I really do think they put too much coloring/dye in their products!

    1. Yeah, it's really annoying that you have to clean up your bath after every use... I guess I'll just stick to the white ones that doesn't have dye in them. :D

  3. Verjetno ti še nikoli nisem tega povedala, ampak speti lasje ti res pašejo. :)
Škoda, da ne boš delala več teh postov, sploh ker jaz še nimam instagrama in mi je bilo v veselje spremljati te poste, ampak jih bom odslej spremljala na FB/Twitterju, se pa veselim tvoje nove serije postov. :)

    1. Hvala! Saj ne bo dosti drugače verjetno. Mogoče bom še vseeno Instagram fotke zraven devala, ampak struktura posta se bo pa definitivno spremenila. :)
