The Week When I Had My First Proper Job Interview

This week hasn't been much different from the last one, as I was spending most of my days at make-up school, but there was one very unusual thing that happened in between. A few weeks ago, I saw that Cosmopolitan and Max Factor were looking for a team of make-up artists that would become a part of Max Factor's make-up artist X-Team and I decided to apply. I wasn't expecting anything to come out of this, but believe it or not, I ended up being invited to an interview. This was my first proper job interview, so I was terribly nervous, but in the end, it turned out to be far less scarier than I expected it to be. I find out whether or not I'll get the job in two weeks time, so please keep your fingers crossed for me! The timing would be just perfect. I'll be done with my make-up school by March, which means that I would be able to start gaining experience in this field right away. I know ZERO people in the industry, so getting a job would be a little miracle to say the least. Actually, it would be a dream come true. I couldn't ask for a better first step and you know, getting some money wouldn't hurt either since I'm currently completely broke. Mainly because of make-up. How ironic.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK

Doing really well on the bridal make-up exam. This week's bridal make-up exam was a completely different story than last week's airbrush exam. Airbrush has turned me into a nervous wreck, and I am more than happy that bridal make-up had the opposite effect on me. I enjoyed the course as well as the exam. I feel like Wednesday was a lucky day. Not only did I do very well on the exam, but our Tina (alpine ski racer) also won a gold olympic medal! I was probably as happy as I would be if I won it myself, haha. Most of you probably don't understand this phenomenon, but people in my country take such accomplishments very differently from other nations. Probably because there's only two million of us and it sometimes feels like we're all just one big happy family. Well, only when it comes to sports. In other areas, we're one big disfunctional family. Anyway, I'm really proud of all our athletes competing at this year's winter Olympic games. So far, we have five medals! Not bad for a teeny tiny country, right? Anyway, back to bridal make-up. I was very happy with the looks that I did throughout the course, and I can't wait to start putting make-up on real brides! If you are a bride to be or know someone who's getting married, you know who to contact! The same goes for prom make-up. ;)
Speaking of make-up,
Speaking of make-up, this week we started with the studio course, where we'll be learning how to put on make-up for TV and movies, and do some character make-up. There's only two of us attending this course and our first task was to transform each other into Adele. You can see the result of my transformation below.

SONGS OF THE WEEK

Good Vibes playlist. This week, I haven't discovered any cool new song, so I thought I would share the playlist my sister created on 8tracks.com. She included a bunch of her favourite songs which I love as well.

This is it for today! Sorry, I don't have a web find or a beauty tip to share with you this week. I haven't spent much time online and as for the beauty tip goes, I wanted to publish a really good one, but then I totally forgot what I was meaning to tell you. I have such a bad memory! I really need to start writing this kind of things down.

P.S. Don't forget to enter my giveaway! It ends in just a few days.
