The Week When Everyone Got Sick

My sister rocking a surgical mask.

So... last week sucked balls. First of all, it was raining all the time and my energy levels hit an all time low. If I could, I would sleep my days away. But  of course I couldn't, because my exams are coming up and I have TONS of studying to do. After taking a one year break from uni, I find it quite hard to get down to business again. At this point, I can't quite imagine going back to school after I get my BA, so I don't know what I'll do when the decision has to be made. Can someone please offer me a job in London? Or Dubai? Or Australia? Or the US? Anywhere? Pretty please? That would literally solve all my problems. You could also offer me my dream job and pay me to travel around the world and blog/vlog about my experience... Ahh, a girl can dream, right?

Let's move on to the next topic - sickness. Everyone around me has been getting sick. First it started with some of our family friends getting these misterious, unexplainable conditions, then my grandma had to be taken to the hospital very urgently on Friday night due to high blood pressure, nausea and sudden loss of hearing, and now my sister got extremely ill as well. She was diagnosed with infectious mononucleosis, the disease that usually lasts for months. She has fever, sore throat, swollen glands, abdominal pains, headaches, and generally feels exhausted, so the only thing she can do is lie around the house. We were really worried about her missing out on school because she only has a couple of weeks left and still has to get a crazy amount of grades, but luckily, her school allowed her to take tests during the summer break, once she gets better, so she'll be able to pass the grade. Thank god! I can now only hope I won't get sick as well. Hay fever is more than enough for me.
