The Week When I Explored East London

After weeks of living in the central London bubble and not exploring any unknown areas, I finally turned my tourist mode on again. Lu and I decided to go check out Broadway Maket, and ended up exploring Hackney. The area doesn't have the best reputation, but it isn't as bad as it might seem at first sight. I'm not going to lie, I did have a bit of a weird feeling about it when I first stepped off the train. It looked very industrial and creepy, but once we started walking up the Regent's Canal and made it to Victoria Park, it was like a whole different world. As it turns out, even 'the dark side' of London has its charms. I took lots of footage, so don't forget to watch my weekly vlog below.

  3. Yes, East London can be a little bit creepy, but it's also so charismatic. I personally love it, I used to work in this area and I know some places pretty well. It is also quite picturesque, in a weird and specific sort of way!
