The Week When I Visited Brighton

Brighton has been on my places-to-visit list ever since I started watching youtube. If you're not into youtube yourself, I should probably explain to you that a lot of British youtubers who vlog about their daily lives live there, and the places shown in their vlogs always looked super cute to me. I'm happy to report I finally made it there on Saturday. The weather was unfortunetelly not the best. It was cold, cloudy and rain decided to make a few appearances as well, but nevertheless, I still enjoyed the trip to the seaside. The ocean has a very calming effect on me, and after a nerve-racking week, it was exactly what I needed.

Lucia, Smay and her boyfriend Nick joined me on the adventure, which included us developing a gambling addiction at Brighton Pier, rollercoasters - I have to admit, I was just watching unless you count a very hilarious haunted house 'ride' - a  quick stop at the Royal Pavillion, a stroll through The Lanes, and a long walk to the Hove, where we rewarded ourselves with some ice-cream. The Health app on my iPhone says that I took 22000 steps and walked over 15 km that day (in very uncomfortable shoes, may I add), so you can only imagine how I spent my Sunday. Thank god I have one more day left to recover.

P.S. I have a new, SHORT weekly vlog for you below! It features my baking shenanigans and the trip to Brighton, which I'm definitely planning to visit again in the summer. Unless I decide to return home before the summer even arrives...
