The Week When I Visited Slovenia

Last week I finally visited my home country again. It's been 10 months since I was last home and to be honest, I was quite excited to go back for a bit, mainly to see my dog, haha. I talk to my family all the time thanks to the amazing technology we have nowadays, so I don't experience homesickness very often, but communicating with Mr Fluffy (a.k.a. Benji) is a bit more challenging, as you can imagine! I'm very attached to the little ball of fur, and I really hate the fact I can only see him a couple of times a year now.

The reason behind my quick weekend getaway was my parents' 50th birthday bash. Turning 50 is considered one of the main celebrations in my country, so of course, there had to be a huge party accompanying the occasion. There was lots of food, music, entertainment, people... It was a bit like a wedding reception, basically. I was in charge of doing makeup, filming and a few other things on the day, so I didn't have much time to relax, but it was great having a chat with all my relatives and family friends who I haven't seen in a year.

I also took advantage of my trip back home to cross some boring but necessary things off the list - I got my laptop fixed, visited a hair stylist, went to see the dentist, etc.  All in all, it was a very short and busy trip, so I didn't even let many people know I'm coming home, but there should be enough time for all the catch-ups during Christmas break. :)
