I haven’t done a proper review in ages, but I’ve recently discovered some awesome products I want to talk about, so you can definitely expect a few more review posts in the following month.
Today I decided to write a review of the L’Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipsticks that I picked up a few weeks ago. What made me decide to get them is the fact that they are being compared to Revlon Lip Butters, which I’ve been dying to get since they first came out. The Revlon Lip Butters, however, are not sold in my country, so when I heard that these L’Oreal lipstick are very similar, I of course had to get my hands on them right away.
I bought three shades: 203 – Rock ‘n Mauve, 202 – Impulsive Fuchsia, and 301 – Dating Coral. First of all, I really like the packaging. It doesn’t look cheap like most drugstore packaging does, and it even reminds me of the gorgeous YSL lipsticks.
I’ve heard that the Rouge Caresse Lipsticks are cathegorized as tinted lip balms, so I expected them to be much more sheer than they actually are. As you can see on the photo below, they are quite pigmented and can be built up to look even more intense.
These lipsticks seem perfect for the summer. They come in several different summery shades, have a glossy finish and just glide on your lips. They also feel very moisturizing, but unfortunately, this feeling doesn’t last long on my lips. The product dries out rather quickly, leaving my lips tinted but not moisturized, so I have to re-apply it at least every hour or so.
P.S. I’m not sure about the price in other countries, but in Slovenia, the lipstick costs about 12€.
Are you also planning to try this product out? What do you think about it if you already own one?
