One of the most exciting parts of my London trip was definitely setting my foot in Westfield London’s Inglot store. I’d heard some American youtubers rave about their eye shadows years ago, and ever since, I’ve been dying to swatch those babies and bring them home with me! My expectations were very high, but did the eye shadows impress me as I’d hoped they would?
Most certainly! If you’d ask me to pick only one brand of eye shadows that I could use until the rest of my life, I would pick Inglot without a second thought. I think that the selection of their shades is amazing, and I can’t even rave enough about the quality, which can easily be compared to MAC or Urban Decay. The eye shadows that I’ve tried are smooth, easy to work with, they stay on throughout the whole day and are super pigmented. Even the matte shades! You can see the swatches of my shades below. From left to right: 363, 450, 344, 423.
I really wish the shades had proper names, though. It’s hard to remember those numbers and you can’t really take a quick look at the labels since they’re written on the bottom of the pans, which are pretty much impossible to take out of the magnetic palette. I gave up on trying to get them out after five minutes. Thank god I’ve filmed a haul and mentioned all the shades in the video, hehe. 😀
Speaking about the magnetic palette… Yes, getting the eye shadows out of the palette is pain in the ass, but to be honest, I would never actually even try to take them out if I didn’t have to check the names for the purpose of this review. And besides, nobody wants their eye shadows falling out of the palette, right? It’s pretty amazing that the magnet is so strong. In case you’ve been wondering, the outside packaging is very sturdy as well, so I hope that my shadows won’t break once I drop my palette on the floor. Not that I have any intentions of throwing it around, you know, but let’s face it, it’s probably going to happen one day. I’m VERY clumsy. Ohhh, and did I mention that you can actually create your own palettes? You go into the store, swatch your heart out, pick the shades that you like and put them in a palette of your choice. They have bunch of different palette sizes, so everyone can find one for herself. I really can’t wait to visit Inglot again. I hope it will happen soon. I want to get ALL the shades! 😀
P.S. My sister also bought some eye shadows. Would you like to see those swatches as well?
