I’ve been promising you to publish my first ever cooking video to show you how I make the fried rice dish everyone in my family is obsessed with, but unfortunatelly, my video disappeared. I mean, it got deleted from the camera. Accidentally. By my dad. Thanks, dad.
I was thinking about re-filming it, but I need an extra pair of hands to do that, so instead of waiting for my sister to be avaliable again, I decided to just publish the recipe without the video this time. I hope you don’t mind!
♥ 3 cups of rice
♥ half a pack of frozen carrots
♥ half a pack of frozen peas
♥ 500 g of chopped chicken fillets
♥ 1 onion
♥ 3 cloves of garlic
♥ 3 eggs
♥ some oil
♥ soy sauce
The first thing I do is cook the chicken on some oil. In the mean time, I cook all the frozen vegetables in a pot of boiled water for about ten minutes, chop the onion, mince the garlic, and start cooking the rice according to the directions on the packaging. When the chicken fillets are ready, I take them out of the pan, put them on a plate and throw the onion and the garlic in the same pan, using the leftover oil. Then I wait for a few minutes so that the onion starts looking a bit yellow, and then I add cooked carrots and peas. After a few minutes, I put in the chicken and the eggs, and I start stirring so that the eggs get scrambled. Then the only thing you need to do is toss in the rice, mix well, and add some soy sauce over the top. I use the Indonesian style one from Vitasia that I buy at Lidl, and it’s the bomb! Ohh, and you can also leave the dish cook for extra two minutes to get the rice ‘fried’.
So, how many of you will be trying out my recipe? Would you still like to see a cooking video from me or do you prefer written recipes?
